Build Log 001: Weekly Planning as a Solo Builder System
A build-in-public note for turning weekly planning into a small product experiment.
Why this project exists
The Week Plan App starts from a recurring solo builder problem: the week is the real unit of progress, but most planning tools either become too heavy or stay too vague.
The product experiment is to make weekly direction, daily execution, and review fit into one calm loop.
What I am testing
The first prototype focuses on three questions:
- Can a weekly plan stay simple enough to be reviewed every day?
- Can AI help turn scattered goals into a clear weekly bet?
- Can the app create evidence instead of more private planning?
Current direction
The initial build should avoid accounts, teams, billing, and integrations. The goal is not to build a productivity suite. The goal is to test whether a better weekly loop helps one person ship more honestly.
Lesson so far
The hard part is not generating more tasks. The hard part is protecting the small number of commitments that actually deserve the week.
